DATUK NICOL DAVID stayed on course for her second title this season after dispatching France’s Camille Serme 11-5, 11-6, 11-6 to make the semifinals of the 2014 Cleveland Classic.

Fresh from capturing the Tournament of Champions last week, Nicol took her winning form into this tournament and has yet to drop a game thus far.

Speaking to squashsite.co.uk, Nicol said: “I have played Camille before and she is a tough competitor. The rallies were long, she made me work hard, but I was able to set-up the opening and I was able to put the ball away”.

Nicol will face Egyptian Nour El Tayeb in the last four. The qualifier played her socks off to upset third seed Raneem El Weleily in the quarterfinals.

Another qualifier Annie Au will face off against Alison Waters in the other semifinals tie.

Annie had earlier pulled off the shock of the tournament by stunning second seed Laura Massaro in the last eight.
