The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team return to action this weekend at the demanding and technical Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, the setting for the seventh round of the World Championship.

Brad Binder and Jorge Martin have already visited the Catalan venue this year, just a few weeks ago, as part of a productive private test.

Last time out at the Italian Grand Prix, the South African rider faced the difficult challenge of the Mugello Circuit. Now Brad Binder arrives at a track where he feels comfortable and where he took a second place in 2016, en route to winning the Moto3 World Championship.

His teammate, Jorge Martin, is also familiar with the podium at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit. In 2017, he achieved the pole position there in the Moto3 category and completed the weekend with a third place in the race.

After the hard work he carried out in Italy two weeks ago, the Spaniard heads to Montmelo with the aim of getting a good result in front of the home crowd.

The 22-lap Catalan Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, 16th June at 12:20 pm (local time). The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team were on the podium at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit in the last two seasons – 2017 and 2018 – with Miguel Oliveira.

“We tested at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit three weeks ago and that was handy for us. We have a lot of work to do, so we will strive as we always do to find the right direction. In general, this is a track that I like and at which I always enjoy riding a lot. If we are able to find a solution to our problems, Iā€™m sure weā€™ll do a good job.”

“Iā€™m going into this race with the hunger to work hard and find a solution to our issues. The team and I are going to give our 100%, trying our best in each session with the aim of taking further steps forward. We’ll have to wait and see how things are going and what the track conditions are. We hope we can have a good Grand Prix in front of our fans.”
