Malaysia beat Vietnam 4-2 to revive their campaign in Men’s Futsal at the SEA Games 2025 as Thailand picked up their second win with a 3-0 win over Myanmar at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium.

Following the big defeat to host Thailand in their first game of the round-robin competition yesterday, the Malaysians regrouped well, even when they found themselves down by an early third-minute goal from Nguyen Da Hai.

Harith Naim struck the equaliser for Malaysia a minute later, as Syahir Iqbal Khan then added the second goal in the seventh minute.

The Malaysians would finish the first half 3-1 in front with Awaluddin Mat Nawi’s finish in the 18th minute.

The score was 4-1 to Malaysia just a minute into the second half, with Syahir’s second goal in the 21st minute.

Even though Nguyen Manh Dung managed a second goal for Vietnam in the 37th minute, it could not ignite a late fightback.

In the meantime, Thailand secured their second full points in the competition with a 3-0 victory over Myanmar.

Itticha Prapaphan grabbed the opener after 14 minutes, followed by goals from Sarawut Phalaphruek (22nd minute) and Athipong Munphla (23rd).
