Piala_MalaysiaTerengganu club T-Team continued its good form after securing a second straight victory, beating Felda United 2-1 in Group C of Malaysia Cup 2015 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu, Saturday night.

The victory saw the ‘The Titans’ overtaking Felda United into second place with six points after four matches.

In tonight’s match, T-Team opened the scoring in as early as the third minute through Uzbekistani import, Sadriddin Abdullaev who cleverly put in a cross from Muhamad Zulhanizam Shafine.

Stunned by the goal, ‘The Fighters’ regrouped and managed to equalise through a free kick by Zah Rahan Krangar in the 38th minute, and the score remained 1-1 until the end of the first half.

In the second half, T-Team pressed hard to get another goal and their efforts paid off when referee, Mohd Zohri Tajuddin handed a penalty to the home side after Tomislav Busic was fouled by the visitors.

The Croatian import easily converted the spot kick in the 61st minute and the score remained 2-1 until the end of the game.

Meanwhile, four other matches had to be postponed after the Air Pollution Index (API) in the four venues were more than 150, which was considered unhealthy.

The matches postponed were – Group A match between Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) and Terengganu at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium in Johor Baharu and Group B match between the Malaysian Armed Forces and Sarawak at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.

Two group D fixtures were also postponed involving matches between the Royal Malaysian Police and Pahang at the Shah Alam Stadium; and PKNS FC and Penang at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.

Tomorrow, Group B teams Johor Darul Ta’zim and Perak will face off at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh, in the only Malaysia Cup fixture for the night. – BERNAMA
