# N.Sembilan strike late for 3-1 win over DRB-Hicom

 

UiTM FC continued their impressive start to the Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over Perlis at Stadium Utama in Kangar on Monday.

It was their second win in a row. Perlis, who whipped Armed Forces 6-1 in their first match at the same venue last Friday fell to a 27th minute goal by Uzbek striker Pavel Purishkin who took his personal tally to four goals in two matches.

He scored a hattrick in UiTMC FC’s 4-1 win over Sabah in the first match in Shah Alam.

Sabah were again at the receiving end – this going down to Kuantan FA 4-1 with the homesters hammering three goals in the last seven minutes of play.

Dao Bakary and Abdul Wafiz Mat Arif scored a brace each after Maxsius Musa gave the visitors the lead on 40 minutes. Ivory Coast striker Dao was on target in the 67th and 89th minutes while Wafiz got his in the 83rd and 87th minutes.

Much touted JDT II suffered their second straight defeat – this time to Kuala Lumpur with Brazilian defender Leo Carioca hitting the winner from the spot in the 66th minute.

KL had beaten PKNS FC 1-0 in their first match while JDT II fell to an embarassing 3-1 defeat to DRB-Hicom at home.

DRB-Hicom could not repeat their performance when they allowed Negri Sembilan to score thrice in a 10 minute spell beginning in the 80th minute for a 3-1 win in an afternoon match played at the Proton Stadium in Tanjung Malim.

Croatian striker Ivan Babic gave DRB-Hicom the lead after 20 minutes but the homesters wilted towards the end and conceded three quick goals to Negri’s foreign power.

Australians Andrew Nabbout (80th), Joel Chianese (83rd) and England’s Alex Smith (89th) got their names into the scoresheet to keep Negri unbeaten after two matches. Negri drew 1-1 with Kuantan in the first match.

Malacca also remained unbeaten with a 2-1 win over PKNS FC at the Hang Jebat Stadium. R. Surendran (23rd) and Nurshamil Ghani (74th) scored for Malacca while PKNS FC’s goal through Argentine striker Juan Manuel Cobelli (50th).
