ASEANU16FUTSAL: Thailand smash Brunei for twenty

Host Thailand smashed Brunei Darussalam 20-0 in their opening game of the ASEAN Under-16 Boys’ Futsal Championship 2025 at the Nonthaburi Hall in Bangkok.

Thanjue Thawin was in fabulous form with five goals (4^th, 11^th, 13^th, 24^th and 25^th minute), to be followed by four goals each from Wangsilpakhun Punno (3^rd, 5^th, 6^th, 36^th) and Petchtiam Boonyarit (3^rd, 6^th, 10^th, 38^th).

Sunet Tanapob was on a brace (26^th and 38^th minute) as the rest of the goals for Thailand were scored by Srisuwan Narawit (18^th), Srijuy Achita (23^rd), Manoonphol Wachirawit (24^th), Sriraksa Ratthawit (24^th) and Phuwipadawat Thanawat (40^th).

In the meantime, Indonesia were also on the winning track when they overwhelmed Myanmar 4-2.

Lin Latt Htun put Myanmar ahead in the eighth minute before Indonesia fought back with two goals from Akmal Nashrur Rizki (16^th minute) and Mahesa Aleandra Putra Nurdiansyah (19^th) to peg the game at 2-1 at the break.

Muhammad Ibnu Alan then added the third goal in the 33^rd minute, as Myanmar then narrowed the score to 3-2 through Htet Wai Phyo two minutes later.

But any thoughts of drawing the game for Myanmar were quashed in the 38^th minute when Muhammad Ibnu nailed his second and Indonesia’s fourth.
