Italy’s Gianluca Brambilla broke away to claim victory on the second day of the European cycling season in Mallorca ahead of Poland’s Michal Kwiatkowski and Zdenek Stybar of the Czech Republic.
Brambilla made his break with just over 15 kilometres of the 153km route to claim the Trofeo Pollenca-Andratx.
The third in a series of four individual races in the Mallorca Challenge series takes the riders 143km from Soller to Deia on Saturday. –Â Agence France-Presse
