# Kedah without injured Sandro and suspended Syazwan Zainon against Penang

# ‘We have a poor record against Penang’ – Cheng Hoe

Super League leaders Kedah have a poor record against Penang even when playing in the Premier League and this is worrying factor for coach Tan Chen Hoe when the cross paths at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar on Saturday.

Cheng Hoe’s concerns also stamps from the fact that it is a match where he will have to make do without two of his key players – Sandro Mendoca and Syazwan Zainon. Sandro has yet to fully recover from a knee injury while Syazwan will sit out a one-match suspension for three yellow card offences.

While the Red Eagles are on top of the table with 11 points – one more than second placed Pahang and third placed Perak – the Panthers are at the wrong end of the table without a point to show after five matches.

“Without a win after five matches does not make Penang easy meat for us. In fact it will be a very difficult for us. We have a poor record against Penang, including a 3-2 defeat at the City Stadium last year and a 2-2 draw at home.

“Penang are wounded and after the 6-1 defeat to Pahang in their last match I expect the Panthers to come charging. We cannot underrate them and we have to score from every chance,” said Cheng Hoe from Alor Setar.

Kedah defeated Kelantan 1-0 in Kota Bahru in their last match and Cheng Hoe is hoping that his players will take off from where they left against Kelantan.

“It is still early in the league,” added Cheng Hoe, who expects most teams to make changes when the second transfer window opens in May.
