The entire nation was stunned when tyeh news about Malaysia’s favourite badminton player and former world No. 1, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei was tested positive for dexamethasone on sample taken on 30 August 2014 during the World Championship in Copenhagen.

Since then, the Badminton Association of Malaysia, with the undivided support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and its agencies have all been working tirelessly to assist Dato’ Lee towards the preparation  for the hearing.

After several months of waiting, BAM has been informed that the hearing date has been fixed.

Dato’ Lee’s case will be heard on 11 April in Amsterdam, Holland.

We’ve been informed a three-man panel will preside over the hearing.

Our lawyers Mike Morgan Sports have been working around the clock for the hearing. BAM is happy with the efforts put in by the lawyer thus far. We, however, appeal to every Malaysian and Dato’ Lee’s fans all over the world to continue to be patient and give the moral support needed.

Your support thus far has been the pillar of strength for Dato’ Lee.

We would  also like to express our special thanks and gratitude to Y.B. Khairy Jamaluddin, the Minister of Youth and Sports, for his guidance and undivided support from day one.
