Australian all-rounder Simon Clarke has joined elite American cycling outfit Cannondale after four successful years at Orica Greenedge, his new team said on Thursday.
Clarke, 29, had the honour of wearing the Giro d’Italia’s leader jersey this season and has won stages on all the Grand Tours.
Cannondale are on a recruitment drive after losing senior riders Dan Martin to Etixx and Ryder Hesjedal to Trek at the end of this season.
Their new riders include French climber Pierre Rolland and Colombian all rounder Rigoberto Uran. – Agence France-Presse
