Malaysian Premier League (Liga Perdana Malaysia) LogoPromotion seekers Felda United kept things hot at the top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over Negri Sembilan as leaders Police dropped more points after battling to a 2-2 against Sabah on Friday.

Former international Indra Putra Mahayuddin scored Felda’s winner at the Selayang Stadium to take his team to 34 points after 15 matches – just five points behind Police who still topped the league standings with 39 points.

Towering Brazilian defender Rafael Souza converted a last minute freekick to save the blushes for Police who fought back from two goals down at the Likas Stadium to share points.

The homesters had a dream start when Zainizam Marjan scored 28 minutes. And when Sabah pulled further ahead through Marwan Sayadeh who found the net in the 54th minute the East Malaysians looked set for an upset win.

But it stopped at that as Police pulled up their socks and reduced the deficit in the 73rd minute through none other than their Sabah-born hot-shot Bobby Gonzales.

That was all Police needed for inspiration and Dollah Salleh was a relieved man Rafael sent the Sabah net dancing with a well executed free-kick to keep their unbeaten record intact after 15 matches.

While Negri Sembilan slipped, Penang had their match against UiTM FC in Shah Alam called off after 50 minutes due to heavy rain. The score stood at 0-0 at that time. The remaining minutes of the match will be played at the same venue today,

In Kangar, JDT II beat Perlis 2-0 with Azniee Taib hitting a brace in the first half while Kedah whipped Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP FC) 7-2 in away match.

In another match DRB Hicom defeat KL SPA 3-1.
