Hanoi T&T scored their fourth win on a trot when they beat league leaders Hai Phong FC 2-1 to firmly move out from the bottom of the V-League 2016 standings.

Naturalised striker Hoang Vu Samson opened the score for Hanoi T&T in the 33rd minute before Errol Stevens levelled the score for Hai Phong in the 75th minute.

But Samson was on hand to deliver the winner right at the end.

The 13 points from nine matches played allowed the former champions to improve to seventh at the table as Hai Phong – in spite of their first loss of the season – still top the league with 22 points.

Elsewhere, Binh Duong defeated Hoang Anh Gia Lai 5-0, as Quang Nam drew SHB Da Nang 1-1 and Long An edged Dong Thap 2-1.

Khanh Hoa blanked Can Tho 2-0 while Quang Ninh Coal beat Saigon FC 1-0.
