It has been a long wait, but NagaWorld finally regained the crown they last won nine years ago when they were crowned Metfone C-League 2018 champions this week.

What made the victory all the more sweet was Nagaworld FC won the title with a game to spare. It was Nagaworld’s third title after 2007 and 2009.

And this week, their 2-1 win over impressive newcomers Visakha gave Nagaworld FC 53 points from 21 matches played – four points ahead of second-placed and defending champions Boeung Ket.

Against Visakha, Nigerian striker George Bisan was on the double with the first after seven minutes and then the second on 53rd minute as Visakha replied off Cho Myong Ho moments later.

Boeung Ket’s chase for a hat trick of titles was dashed following their 2-1 draw against Angkor Tiger.
