# Favourites JDT continue their winning ways

 

Johor Darul Takzim edged Police 1-0 in the first-leg FA Cup quarter-final match at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca on Saturday but it was PKNS FC who stole show with a 4-0 win at the Selayang Stadium.

The Selangor outfit slaughtered the 10-man plantation giants to virtually seal their place in the last four after Mateo Roskam was red carded for gross indiscipline.

The battle of the Premier League clubs saw PKNS ride on a brace by Juab Cobelli with strikes in the 55th and 78th minutes after Matias Jadue had opened the flood gates as early as the 15th minute.

Nazrin Shamsulbahri added he fourth on 85 minutes to give E. Elavarasan’s team a healthy cushion for next month’s return-leg at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca which is PKNS FC’s homeground.

At the Perak Stadium in Ipoh the homesters carved out a 1-0 win over Kuala Lumpur with Thiago Junior netting the winner in the seventh minute.

Police gave away a 17th minute penalty to allow Johor Darul Takzim a 1-0 win with new signing Juan Martin Lucero converting the spot kick after he was brought down inside the box by skipper Faizal Muhammad.

On Friday at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu visitors Kedah edged Sabah 2-1 in the first-leg.
