A solitary strike from Saliev Askarbek was enough for Kyrgyzstan to lift the Aceh World Solidarity Cup 2017 when they beat hosts Indonesia 1-0 in the final.

In the match that was played at the Harapan Bangsa Stadium, the Indonesian side led by striker Ilham Udin Armayn failed to break the deadlock as they continued to be frustrated.

That failure to take the lead allowed Kyrgyzstan to push forward and in the 21st minute, they managed to steal the lead when Saliev latched on to a cross from the left.

That was to be the only goal of the game as Indonesia continued to struggle in the second half.
