There was no stopping once they got into the act as Ooi Tze Liang-Chew Yi Wei showed Malaysia’s supremacy in the men’s 3m synchronized springboard diving at the New Clark City Aquatic City on Friday.

The duo was in their element in their six dives for 398.16 points to ensure Malaysia its second diving gold on a day when the nation won the first through Wendy Ng Yan Yee and also the silver through Jasmine Lai Pui Yee in the women’s 3m springboard diving for a 1-2 finish.

Thailand took the silver in the 3m synchronized springboard through Chananwat Juntaphadawan-Thitiphoon Marksin who totaled 344.76 with Singaporean twins Mark Lee Han Ming and Timothy Lee Han Kuan taking the bronze for their country with 340.53.

Malaysia has won the men’s event since 2007 in Korat, Thailand and it was not a surprise with the Malaysians winning the gold in Manila. – BY RIZAL ABDULLAH
