Six Singapore players from the Young Lions squad that played in the 30th Sea Games football competition in the Philippines have been hauled up for disciplinary action by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) for breaking curfew in Manila.

The Young Lions, coached by Fandi Ahmad, failed to reach the knockout stage from the five-team Group B after finishing fourth. The others in the group were Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Brunei.

The six were caught breaking the curfew at the hotel where the team was staying on Sunday (December 1) – returning in the wee hours after Singapore’s 3-0 defeat to Thailand.

After an initial investigation by the Singapore team officials, the matter was reported to SNOC, the Straits Times reported.
