Vietnam national captain and stalwart for Hanoi FC Nguyen Van Quyet has chosen to play for Kedah in the Malaysian Super League (MSL) instead of seeing action for Muang Thong United in the Thai Premier League (TPL).

This in spite of the fact that Muang Thong might have the chance to see action in the AFC Champions League this year where they will be facing Malaysiaā€™s JDT in the play-off late this month.

The 26-year-old midfielder Nguyen Van Quyet to Malaysia Super League side Kedah FA on a statement on Wednesday.

ā€œHis contract with the club will expire in two years, so he will be loaned to Kedah on a one-year deal,ā€ said Hanoi FC representative Nguyen Quoc Hoi.
