Sharvin is ready to dazzle at the AJFC after his award winning performance this year.

S. Sharvin may be reserved in nature, but when he laces his boots, that shyness is transformed into an explosive striking force that gets the job done in supreme fashion.Ā

The soft-spoken winger-cum-striker has now enhanced his footballing prowess after being one of the three players selected to the Allianz Junior Football Camp (AJFC) in Munich, Germany from August 25-30.

Sharvin, P. Shankar and V. Ruventhiran were among the 13 Malaysians who attended the AJFC Asia camp in Bali, Indonesia last month.

The trio aced that selection trials with flying colours, and will now join 77 other budding footballers from 30 countries to experience a world class football experience that is F.C Bayern Munich. Ā

Sharvin was indeed the cream of the crop who stood out among 1,440 entries who competed in a six-week league competition in the country, which culminated in 13 being selected to the AJFC Asia.

For the 16-year-old, being selected for a dream adventure to the Allianz Arena was always in the pipeline.

ā€œI knew I was in line to be selected because I gave it everything in Bali. I stood on par with the rest of the participants in terms of skill and ability, but it is an honour to be chosen for this camp,ā€ said Sharvin, the fourth of five siblings.

The ardent Nani and Manchester United fan has been in exceptional form this season, playing for Glenmarie United, his school and for KL in the inter-state school meet.

There is a reason why Sharvin is so highly soughted.Ā

ItĀ is because of his ability to flex his credentials with accolades.Ā

The SMK Setapak student bagged the Best Player and topscorer award for Glenmarie United after scoring 11 goals this season.Ā

“My job as a forward is to get the goals. It is a difficultĀ responsibilityĀ at times, but if I get theĀ right service, I will score,” said Sharvin, who has also won multiple awards as a kid.Ā

Besides the exciting prospect of playing alongside other talented teenagers like himself, the built teen has another mission in Munich.

“I want to meet Bayern Munich’s starting 11, but especially Robert Lewandowski, Douglas Costa and Thomas Muller.”

With all three men playing the same position as him, Sharvin’s pick is inevitable.

But count on him to reach the same level of greatness as his idols, as this boy is proving anything but a one hit wonder.
