# JDT regain their place at the top of the Super League

# More than 20 vehicles smashed up along highway

# Haphazard parking on both sides of the highway leaves a trail of destruction

 

As expected defending champions Johor Darul Takzim were back at the top of the Super League after a 2-0 winover Police at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca on Sunday.

But it was what happened outside the stadium that became the talk of the historical city when a trailer ploughed into a more than 20 over vehicles and left a trail of destruction – thanks to the haphazard parking on both sides of the Sungai Udang-Paya Rumput-Ayer Keroh highway during the match. The smash-up occurred at about 10.15pm.

Inside the stadium the Southern Tigers remained as the only unbeaten team after five matches in the 12-team league to regain their place at the top after Felda United temporarily moved up with a 2-0 win over winless Pahang at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka on Saturday.

Skipper Safiq Rahim slotted a 50th minute penalty before Argentine hot-shot Jorge Pereyra Diaz got the second 77 minutes.

In the only other Super League match Perak and T-Team (Terengganu FC II) battled to a scoreless draw at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh.

On Saturday, Felda United notched a 2-0 win over Pahang with goals by Francis Forkey Doe (35th) and a gift from Pahang’s Nejc Potokar who scored an own goa.

Saturday also saw Kelantan hammer out an impressive 3-1 win over Penang at the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Bahru – riding on a brace Macedonia striker Blazie Ilijoski who was on target in the 5th and 35th minutes.

Skipper Badhri Radzi scored the third on 71 minutes before Penang reduced the deficit through Nigerian striker Osas Ikpefua.

At the State Stadium in Kuching hosts Sarawak scored a late, late equalisr to salvage a precious point with a 1-1 draw against last year’s Premier League champions Kedah – but are still looking for their first win in five matches.

Kedah grabbed an 86th minute lead through youngster Farhan Roslan but Australian Ndumba Makeche spoiled the day for the visitors with an injury time equaliser.
