This year the Austrian squad will compete in all major European sports-car championships with a well adjusted and powerful troop. The team will be at the start in the Blancpain Sprint Series, the Blancpain Endurance Series as well as in the German ADAC GT Masters with several Lamborghini Huracán GT3. Grasser Racing aims to fight for podium finishes in all three championships.
“I am really looking forward to the great challenge in 2016”, team manager Gottfried Grasser confidently looks into the future. “After our experiences with the new Lamborghini Huracán GT3 last season, we are sure that we will be at the start with a quite competitive race car this season. Altogether with the race events as well as the events supported by Lamborghini Squadra Corse we have got about 70 events on the schedule. We have got even some more plans, which will be announced later on in the course of the season. We are very proud to be working with Lamborghini!”
With the comprehensive motorsport engagement the team is eager to turn it’s great know-how into success. The experts from Austria, who developed to a firmly established squad in international GT-Racing, are also in charge for the world wide customer-support of Lamborghini. In the fiercely battled Blancpain Sprint Series, Grasser Racing will compete with even three new Lamborghini Huracán GT3.
Nici Pohler and Mirko Bortolotti share the cockpit of the Italian sports-cars as well as Luca Stolz and Michele Beretta. Stefan Rosina and Jeroen Bleekemolen will complete the driver line-up of the team. The combination of Lamborghini Junior Drivers and established professional racers is a very good base to achieve the desired results.
Only one week after the season opener of the Blancpain Sprint Series also the German ADAC GT Masters starts into it’s new campaign. Having claimed three pole-positions and one race victory in 32 races, the Lamborghini Junior Luca Stolz will take a seat in one of the two Grasser-Lamborghini this year. An ambitious program for Grasser Racing is also ahead in the Blancpain Endurance Series. Vadim Gitlin, Mirko Bortolotti and Jeroen Bleekemolen, as well as Luca Stolz, Michele Beretta and winner of the 24 hours in Spa, Andrea Piccini, are the driver line-up’s for the two race cars in the popular endurance championship. An additional third car fighting for a top result comes to use in the 24 hours race in Spa-Francorchamps.
The European motorsport season starts in February for the Grasser Racing Team with test days in Barcelona, Misano, Monza and Paul Ricard. The events of the two Blancpain Series and the ADAC GT Masters are taking place on race tracks full of tradition, like Monza, Brands Hatch or the Nürburgring. A special thrill and atmosphere is provided by the 24 hours race in the Belgium Spa-Francorchamps, taking place from July 28th to 31st.
