* Harif Saleh takes gold and Anuar Manan bronze in men’s mass start road race

 

Terengganu-born Harif Saleh is enjoying the 28th SEA Games – after winning his second gold medal in the men’s cycling competition in three days.

What a joy it was Harif when he was declared the gold medal winner in a blanket finish in the men’s mass start road race at Marina Bay South and to make it a double celebration for Terengganu cyclists Anuar Manan won the bronze.

Harif, Vietnam’s Le Van Duan, who was awarded the silver and Anuar were all timed at 3:19.33 but it did not matter as the colour of the medal that counted for Harif. On Friday, Harif won the gold in the criterium.

At the Bishan Sports Hall, Malaysia created history when Koi Sie Yan and Shansangari Sivaneswary Nagarajan were awarded the gold medals after the Malaysians were awarded identical 60.250 points ine the individual all-round rhythmic gymnastics competition.

Thailand’s Panjarat Prawatyotin took the bronze with a 57.350 total.
