Host Philippines suffered a 6-0 loss to Poland in their Group A opening campaign of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 last night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

The score was 2-0 to Poland at the break with goals from Julia Basta (seventh minute) and Natalia Matuszewska (19th).

The Poles then added four more goals in the second half through Julia Szostak (23rd minute), Basta (24th), Klaudia Dyminska (30th), and then an own goal from Philippines’ Lanie Ortillo (26th).

In an earlier match of Group A, Argentina underlined their intention with a 6-0 beating of Morocco.
