Myanmar head coach Antonie Hey is still maintaining a strong front in spite of the several adverse results the team suffered.

The latest was a 3-0 loss to Bolivia 3-0 in a friendly that was played at the Thuwana Stadium in Yangon – with goals from Luis Haquin in the fifth minute, Marcelo Martins (25th minute) and Henry Vaca (68th minute).

“We got a chance to play against a South America team. This is good opportunity for our young players,” Hey added.

Prior to the game against the Bolivians, the Myanmar national side went down 1-0 to China and also a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Indonesia.

“Even though Myanmar team lost all three games, we played against stronger teams. Although we haven’t got good result, team ability has improved,” said Hey.

Myanmar are preparing for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 next month, where they have been placed in Group A against Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia.
