Following from his first ever podium finish this season, Muizz Musyaffa will be out to emulate that achievement and aggressive character in Round 4 of the FIA Formula 4 SEA Championship – fuelled by Petron at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand slated for 14-16 June.
A return to Buriram this week has certainly whetted Muizz’s appetite as he look to emulate his second-placed finish in race one, third round (Event 3) or at least a top five position.
However, Muizz admitted that it will be a tall order for a repeat performance considering the field he is up against will be impressive indeed.
“Naturally, I will be aiming to do better in Buriram this time round but I also know that it will not be easy as in the last race, it was not only the field of drives which gave me a tough time but I also had to put up with acceleration issues with the car,” said Muizz.
Muizz had been a consistent performer this year where he was always in the pace against the series top drivers as he finished fourth in Race 3 behind Lucca Allen, Elias Seppanen and Shihab Al Habsi.
Towards ensuring that he remained in competitive mode with an eye on Buriram, Muizz has had to forego his Hari Raya holidays the previous week.
“I did not go back to my hometown this Hari Raya holidays as I made the decision to stay home. But my relatives did come to the house to visit me, so that has at least given me a little celebratory mood,” added Muizz.
“With the upcoming Round 4 (Event 4) not too far away, I have been working a lot on my stamina, running and improving my overall strength.”
