Indonesian head coach Alfred Riedl said moments after his team’s 0-0 draw against Myanmar in Yangon last night that Malaysia is definitely a weaker team than the hosts.

Indonesia had beaten Malaysia 3-0 in a friendly that was played in Solo in September.

“Looking at how Myanmar plays, I believe that they are a lot stronger than Malaysia,” said Riedl.

In the game against Myanmar, the Austrian tactician chose to rest the likes of Andik Vermansyah and Irfan Bachdim where he has decided to let the other players a run instead.

Further rotation will also be used when Indonesia take on Vietnam on 8 November in Hanoi.
