It will be less than 48 hours to the biggest football extravaganza in ASEAN and eager anticipation has already been building up over the last few weeks to the official draw of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.
It will be another bumper crowd for the biennial championship and this year will see an even better turnout for the AFF Suzuki Cup following the decision to change the format of the hugely popular meet.
This time round, the AFF have shifted from centralised groupings to a home and away format, in a bid to create and incite more excitement for the November-December championship.
Depending on the luck of the draw, teams will have at least two home matches in the group stage and two away.
Even the qualifying round –which will see Brunei battling against Timor Leste – will be played home and away.
Without doubt, the change in format has evoked a sense of anticipation from fans from across the region and has all the markings of another successful championship that was first established way back in 1996.
And the road to the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 begins with the official draw at the Mulia Hotel in Jakarta on 2 May 2018 at 1400hrs.
