Youngster Muhammad Osamanmusa led Thailand to the PTT Thailand Five crown when they beat Uzbekistan 6-5 in the final round robin tie that was played at the Indoor Stadium Huamark.

The Thais, who had already walloped England 4-0 in their opening tie and then a 7-1 thrashing of Malaysia in their second game, found Uzbekistan a little hard going.

But still that did not stop them from turning on the style as the ASEAN kingpins struck early in the sixth minute through Osamanmusa before doubling the advantage off Ronnachai Wongjungsuk in the 17th minute.

And while Uzbekistan still managed to give themselves a glimmer of hope at the break from Konstantin Sviridov for the score to stand at 2-1, the second half was all Thailand as they romped in four more goals.

Osamanmusa got his second on 22 minute as Pornmongkol Srisubseang (31st), captain Jetsada Chudech (35th) and Ronnachai completing his brace a minute to the end.

Uzbekistan’s two other goals were scored by Mashrab Adilov (32nd) in the Davron Choriev (40th).

In the meantime, England finished third in the competition behind champions Thailand and second placed Uzbekistan after narrowly beating Malaysia 3-2.

It was the Malaysians who found the back of the net first early in the third minute through Abu Haniffa Hasan before England replied off Stuart Cook just five minutes later.

But the English goal just before the break in the 18th minute through Liam Palfreeman would be pivotal as they then went on to carve a two-goal cushion from Jordan Edge 25th minute strike.

The Malaysians tried to come back into contention with their second goal from Saiful Nizam Mohd Ali in the 29th minute, but they fell just a little short.
