Not only will OSCARO.com become the Event Presenting Partner of WTCC Race of Portugal next month, it will also brand the new Repair Time information displays at all remaining rounds of the 2015 season.
Repair Time is the 15-minute period between the two WTCC races that teams have available to work on their cars in the pit lane prior to it closing ahead of the second race of the weekend. Because of the frenetic pace of the repairs and adjustments being undertaken, it can be difficult for television viewers to understand what work teams have carried out.
In partnership with OSCARO.com, the new OSCARO.com Repair Time display boards will become a permanent feature at World Touring Car Championship events and will provide fans watching on TV with a useful insight into the meticulous high-paced pit activity in the WTCC as teams rush to ready their cars for the next race.
The OSCARO.com-branded displays are free standing and will be positioned in close proximity to the WTCC cars during Repair Time. Removable plates featuring various mechanical symbols, such as brake pads and discs, suspension – even windscreen wipers, which are all components available to purchase online at OSCARO.com, will give a clear picture of what parts have been tweaked or replaced on selected cars starting from JVC KENWOOD WTCC Race of France from 26-28 June when the exciting new concept will be trialled.
Meanwhile, OSCARO.com WTCC Race of Portugal promises to be one of the highlights of the season with the championship making its first appearance at the spectacular Vila Real street circuit from 10-12 July. Described as the ‘Nordschleife of the South’ due to its challenging nature, frequent twists and turns and undulations, the famous venue will provide a unique test for the WTCC drivers and teams, with thousands of fans expected to attend. Significant OSCARO.com branding will be visible trackside and incorporated on promotional material and television graphics.
