Sabah Tennis Association (STA) president Johnson Koh expressed shock upon knowing the sudden death of Frederick Leong aka Fred Leong, a senior sports writer from the New Sabah Times.
Fred has known Johnson even before he took over the Presidency of Sabah Tennis Association.
Fred is a good writer with imagination to stir up readers mind and thinking. He is very dedicated, hardworking, legendary and good writer.
The last time Johnson met Fred was in Kuching when Sabah tennis created history by winning the GOLD and bronze in tennis.
Fred was there throughout the final matches and he did one full page cover on that tennis GOLD and that full page news was framed and presented to Sabah Chief Minister, Sports Minister, Chief DeMission, Permanent Secretary of Sports ministry, GM Lembaga Sukan, Director MSN Sabah, Liason Officer Tennis MSN, officials of the team and ALL players.
