The first day of the 2015 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™- held here from 27 to 29 March 2015, kicked off its F1™ family affair yesterday with numerous family-friendly activities organised for fans of all ages, who came from near and far.

Themed Experience F1 Like Never Before, the 2015 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™ enabled motorsports fans to enjoy many fun activities including competitive games such as the F1™ simulator at the game zone and carnival-style activities such as the Ferris Wheel and Haunted House. Ardent fans even took the opportunity to purchase Formula 1™ team merchandise available at the team’s respective booths.

The family theme has indeed drawn some fans out of their homes with their families, regardless if they live in the Klang Valley or even overseas.Just ask Filipino Carlo Cabrera, who is here for all 3 days of the 2015 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix™with his wife and two children. “This is my second time here at the Sepang International Circuit for the Formula 1™Malaysia Grand Prix and I am excited to see my favourite driver, Sebastian Vettel. After the practice session today, I will definitely bring my kids to the Haunted House at the mall area,” said Carlo.

The most exciting part of the day for the fans took place at the end of the day, with the public pit walk – whereby the first 1,500 ticket holders were given the opportunity to go into the pit to discover what goes on behind the scenes of a team’s garage, and having great photo opportunities with the cars, team crew members and even drivers.
