The Indonesia Futsal team fell to a 3-1 loss to highly-ranked Uzbekistan on the second day of MNC Futsal Championship 2019 that was held at the GOR UNY this afternoon.

Uzbekistan – ranked as the fourth best team in Asia after Japan, Iran and Thailand – survived the early onslaught from Indonesia to take the lead in the eighth minute through Davron Chorlev.

Trailing a goal behind did not deter the hosts, but while Indonesia were pushing forward looking for the spaces, it was Uzbekistan who grabbed the second again with Chorlev slotting home in the 18th minute.

The concession of a third goal through Uzbekistan’s Dilshod Rakhmatov in the 28th minute pushed Indonesia into a corner.

And while they managed to finally pull a goal back in the 34th minute through Marvin Wassiry, it was not enough to spark a revival as the score remained all the way to the end.

The win over Indonesia should give Uzbekistan the MNC Futsal title this year after their whopping 9-0 win over KL City FC from Malaysia yesterday.

Uzbekistan will wrap up their fixtures with a match against Chinese Taipei tomorrow while Indonesia will take on KL City FC.

In the meantime, Chinese Taipei picked up their first win with a 7-2 victory over KL City FC in the match played earlier.

But it was KL City who scored the first goal of the game through Hazizi Mansor in the very first minute before Lin Chih Hung replied for Chinese Taipei just a minute later.

The score at the half was 2-2 with KL City once again finding the lead through Mohd Firdaus in the sixth minute only for Chang Chien Ying to equalise two minutes later.

But the second half would be all Chinese Taipei as they slammed in five goals Tang Wei Tai (24th and 25th minute) and Huang Po Chun (32nd and 39th) and Lai Ming Hui in the 39th minute.
