Indonesia are following up on their strong showing at the AFF Suzuki Cup last year with a planned friendly against powerhouse Argentina.

With the lack of matches this year where the concentration would be on the SEA Games in August, the senior Indonesian national side will be looking to play more matches in an effort to build a stronger squad.

The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) have already started initial talks with the FA of Argentina (AFA) towards making a game against the former world champions a reality.

“We have already sent an email to AFA on the planned friendly. We are looking at a game in the summer,” said Hanif Thamrin, the PSSI’s Director of International Relations.
