The J.League will host the “2017 J.League Asia Challenge in THAILAND”.  This event marks the beginning of a new effort as part of the J.League’s Asian strategy.

This first edition will be co-hosted with the Thai League, J.League partners since 2012, in recognition of the numerous football-related exchanges between the two countries as well as 130th Anniversary of Japan-Thailand Diplomatic Relations..
Beginning in 2017 and continuing over a three-year period, this competition will be hosted in countries whose domestic leagues are partnered with the J.League.

Tournament Format:
J.League and Thai League clubs will play each other in four total matches (clubs from the same country will not play each other)
