It was a nightmare for Terengganu against Kedah in Alor Setar while Perak failed to take the numerical advantage against Selangor in the two Super League matches played on Friday.

The Red Eagles soared to a convincing 3-0 win over Terengganu at the Darulaman Stadium – to hand the Turtles a second successive defeat after their 1-2 defeat at home to PKNP (Perak SEDC) last week.

For Kedah, it was a welcome to return to winning ways after a shock 1-2 defeat to Kuala Lumpur away and with full points off Terengganu, it gave the team 15 points from nine matches and third place in the league.

The Red Eagles opened the scoring on 27 minutes through their Argentinian import Jonatan Bauman who converted a penaltyZaqua after Farhan Roslan was felled inside the box.

International Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak doubled the score in the 33rd minute before Fernando Rodriguez completed the rout in the 72nd minute for a 3-0 win.

Selangor played with 10 players 57th minute onwards after former Perak player Nurridzuan Abu Hassan was given the marching orders for a second booking.

The Red Giants fell behind after 36 minutes at the Shah Alam Stadium when Norhakim Hassan drilled home from a Shahrel Fikri assist but that was as far as the visitors could go in search of a win.

Brazilian Sandro Mendonca was quick to put Selangor on equal terms three minutes later with a well-executed freekick that left Perak custodian Hafizul Hakim Khairul Nizam Jothy well beaten. – BY RIZAL ABDULLAH
