Kuala Lumpur stamped their dominance by trouncing Putrajaya with a comfortable 3-0 win in the 2nd day of the 100PLUS National Inter State Team U-12 & U-16 Championships at the Bukit Dumbar Penang BA Badminton Hall.

Led by their ace player Muhammad Fazriq Razif who partnered Bryan Jeremy Goonting, they City state team sailed past the haplessteam  Putrajaya pair of Abdul Hadi Ahmad Azamuddin Husni/Zainuddin Fawwaz (21-11, 21-15) in just 20 minutes.

Earlier in the first singles, Bryan Chang Khai Yang won against Ravikumar Aviinash (21-9, 21-16) and later their second singles, Justin Hoh sailed past Oon Zhi Yung (21-7, 21-9).

Kuala Lumpur who is seeded No 3 in the U-16 Boys category did not face much challenge. However Muhammad Fazriq who rested when they struggled to defeat Sarawak 2-1 yesterday.

The host state Penang did not play today after winning their first match against Terengganu 3-0 on the first day. Penang and Kuala Lumpur looks set for a date in the final should everything goes on smoothly for both teams in the group and semifinal stages.

2nd seed team Sabah was not convincing at all this year after losing 1-2 in both their matches against Perak yesterday and to Kelantan today.

Other teams like Kedah, Perak, Selangor, Pahang, Johor and Pahang all won their matches respectively.

For the U-16 Girls category, Kedah, Malacca, Johor, Selangor and Pahang won their matches.

In the U-12 Girls Category, all seeded team trumped in their matches today with Selangor, Malacca, Pahang, Kuala Lumpur and Negri Sembilan won. Except for 3rd seed team Sabah who lost out to Perak 1-2.

The U-12 Boys Category, Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Negri Sembilan, Sarawak, Penang and Kedah won their matches respectively. While the unseeded Putrajaya created an upset by defeating 4th seed Malacca by 2-1.
