Fans will savour substantial airtime in 2017

DSport to broadcast all World Touring Car Championship races

Highlights package for NEO SPORTS

Viewers in India will enjoy extensive coverage of the FIA World Touring Car Championship in 2017 following the signing of agreements with broadcasters DSport and NEO SPORTS.

NEO SPORTS, which is also available in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldeves, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, will broadcast a 24-minute highlights programme following each event. DSport, a new sports channel in India from Discovery, will show all 20 WTCC races on a delayed basis.

DSport, also a home for cycling, football, golf, horse racing and rugby, is available in 35 million Indian households and will broadcast 4000 hours of live content each year.

François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events, the WTCC promoter, said: “We are very pleased to welcome DSport and NEO SPORTS to our portfolio of broadcast partners. India has one of the world’s largest economies so to be able to showcase the WTCC and its stakeholders in this important market place is a very significant development.”

Eurosport Events’ agreements with DSport and NEO SPORTS follow confirmation last month that FOX Sports Latin America will continue its long-term partnership with the WTCC, which includes screening extensive live and post-produced content. Several further announcements regarding WTCC broadcast partnerships will be made over the coming weeks.
