Nicholas believes the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club course will help Team Asia.

NATIONAL golfer Nicholas Fung believes Team Asia has a slight advantage over Team Europa at the upcoming Eurasia Cup happening on March 27-29.

The Sabahan will be the only Malaysian in the Ryder Cup-styled showdown, following the revealing of names by Team Asia captain Thongchai Jaidee earlier today at Glenmarie Gardens.

“This will be my first time representing Asia and I am looking forward to it. I know the course (Glenmarie Golf and Country Club) very well. It’s not long and it suits us Asians,” Nicholas said.

The 23-year-old added “The weather will be an added advantage for us as well. The hot weather will give the Europeans a tough time.

“But more importantly is the partnership for the first two days. We will have to see who partners who well in the practice round before deciding.”

Nicholas has already won at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club, when he clinched the PGM UMW Glenmarie Classic title back in 2012.

Captain Thongchai has yet to reveal another name, but told the media that he will wait to make that decision in the coming week.

Below are the list of players in Team Asia (Malaysians unless stated) :-

1. Thongchai Jaidee (Thailand)

2. Koumei Oda (Japan)

3. Hideto Tanihara (Japan)

4. Kim Hyung Sung (South Korea)

5. Gaganjeet Bhullar (India)

6. Anirban Lahiri (India)

7. Siddikur Rahman (Bangladesh)
