Quang Nam fell to their first defeat of the V.League season when they stumbled to a 2-0 loss to Hai Phong.
Jamaican striker Errol Anthony Stevens gave Hai Phong the lead after 25 minutes before Andre Diego Fagan finished things off 13 minutes later.
After seven matches, Quang Nam dropped down to third after three wins, four draws and one loss.
The win for Hai Phong pushed them to fourth with the same 13 points as Quang Nam.
Elsewhere, Song Lam Nghe An held Becamex BĂŹnh Duong 1-1, HCM City beat Hoang Anh Gia Lai 1-0.
