Sabah’s junior Ryan Chee Shao Ya last week shines in the Malaysian Junior tour by entering the semis in the 12 under age category. Ryan also entered the semis in the doubles partnering a K L junior FaeqAarizFatimy.
In the singles Ryan beat Edy Al Amin Hussain from NS 6-3, 6-3. In the semis Ryan was beaten by the 2ndseeded eventual Champion Hayden Khoo Menon by 6-1, 6-2. Hayden Khoobeat his fellow Selangor player, the top seed Jayden Wong Ye Li by 6-0,6-0.
In the doubles Ryan partnered FaeqAarizFatimy( K L ) but they were beaten by the top seed of Hayden Khoo and Jayden Wong 6-1, 6-1. The top pair also became champions for the doubles.
Ryan Chee showed some brilliant tennis during the tournament.

According to Johnson Koh Sabah players are not lacking in talent to be top tennis players if parents and coaches assist one another. The sports ministry and MSN have been helping STA and STA have been relentlessly promoting junior tennis.
It takes years to groom a top player and STA and all concern are patiently and painstakingly working towards that with everyone’s help and perseverence.
