Malaysia staged a fabulous fightback to beat Laos 4-1 to take the lead in Group B of the SEA Games 2025 here at the Rajamangala Stadium.
Bounphaeng Xaysombath served a shocker in the fourth minute, firing Laos in front.
However, Haykal Danish drew the Malaysians level in the 35th minute, leaving both teams level at the half.
Haqimi Azim then gave Malaysia the lead for the first time in the game in the 59th minute before Moses Raj put them 3-1 in front three minutes later.
Muhammad Abu Khalil then rounded off a fine evening for the Malaysians right at the end (90th minute) for the full points.
