THE WEC 6 HOURS OF SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS
After the high drama of the 6 Hours of Silverstone, which saw Audi take the chequered flag first before losing the maximum points to Porsche in post-race scrutineering, the focus now turns to the next round of the World Endurance Championship at Spa-Francorchamps which takes place on Saturday 7 May.
The race in Belgium is considered as the traditional dress rehearsal for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has always attracted extra entries from teams making their final preparations for one of the greatest sporting challenges on earth. This year there are no third entries from the Porsche and Audi teams, but the ELMS 4 Hours of Silverstone winner, G-Drive Racing (the car run by JOTA Sport) will be an added bonus to the grid. In total there will be 34 cars taking the start for the fifth edition of the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, with nine in LMP1, 12 in LMP2, seven in LMGTE Pro and six in the LMGTE Am class.
