Malaysia registered a morale boosting 1-0 win over Singapore in a women’s football friendly at the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam yesterday.

The solitary goal came from Usliza Usma in the 48th minute..

It was Singapore’s second defeat to Malaysia, after the 0-4 lost in a recent  tournament in the republic.
“Although our tactics worked there is still room for improvements. Singapore tested our defence but we too ran into a tough Singapore.
“The win over Singapore will stand in good stead for our opening match in the Sea Games,” said Malaysia’s head coach Mohd Asyraaf Abdullah.
