# ‘We face the best team with the best players’ – Satianathan
Winless Selangor was hit by more bad news with striker Rufino Segovia joining the injury list for the home match against five-time Super League champions Johor Darul Takzim at the Shah Alam Stadium on Friday.

The Spaniard, winner of the Golden Boot last year, limped off the pitch during the Selangor’s training session on Thursday – leaving Satianathan dazed as the Red Giants face “the best team with the best players” in the country.

“Rufino is one player who will not shirk his responsibilities either in training or a match proper…but today (yesterday) he could not take it as he clutched his stomach and asked to be excused,” said Satianathan.

“It is another blow to the team. Taylor (Regan) is still injured while new signing Khyril Muhymeen is also on the crock list.”

If there is a plus point for Satianathan is that he will be able to use new is new signing Sandro da Silva Mendonca and on loan Fandi Othman (from PKNS FC) for the match although the Brazilian has yet to get over the jet lag.

“Hopefully, they (Sandro and Fandi) can turn things around. Personally, I have faith in my team, just waiting for the right time to deliver.”

Satianathan is also baffled with “certain weird things” that are happening in the team that has left the former national coach baffled.

“I am taking all in my stride with the hope that the tide will turn in my favor. I did not expect such things to happen in a team like Selangor…but it is happening,” added Satianathan, not willing to go into the details for now.

“We have setbacks from the start of the season. The away match against Pahang (1-1) was our best performance so far and hopes rose for the match against JDT.

“JDT is the best team in the country with the best players. The team also has the luxury of having the best facilities in the country. Still, despite the injuries to Taylor and Rufino, a positive result at Shah Alam is possible.”
