Midfielder Souza of Sao Paulo has been called up to the Brazil squad by coach Dunga to replace injured Chelsea star Ramires for the friendlies against Argentina and Japan later this month.
Ramires missed Chelsea’s 1-0 Champions League win at Sporting Lisbon in midweek with a groin injury and will also skip Sunday’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
Brazil will face bitter rivals Argentina in Beijing on October 11 and then Japan in Singapore on October 14.
