YOUTH and Sports Minister YB Brig Gen Khairy Jamaluddin on Thursday (13 Aug 2017) unveiled the Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) Games digital assets, with multiple platforms created and all set to provide exciting Games experience for fans and spectators.

With less than 40 days before the opening ceremony takes place on Aug 19, YB Brig Gen Khairy, who is also Chairman of the Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC) Kuala Lumpur 2017, officially launched the “KL2017” Games app, which provides extensive Games information such as live and latest results, up to date competition schedules, news, happenings, city guide as well as live streaming.

“The sports fans of today, especially the youth and teens, are very IT-savvy…they demand quick access to information on latest developments of their favourite sports, events, athletes, as well results, the medal tally and so on. All those will be available at their fingertips now,” said YB Brig Gen Khairy.

The official KL2017 film titled “ It Takes a Nation To Raise A Champion”, directed by prolific young director Quek Shio Chuan, was also previewed for the first time. The Official KL2017 YouTube Channel was also launched at the ceremony attended by athletes, sponsors, officials, Games makers and stakeholders of the Games.

YB Brig Gen Khairy hopes that the film would help lift the spirit of the public as it brings a message of strong sporting spirit, solidarity, togetherness and struggle as well as the demands, sacrifice and support from various parties to produce a champion.

He also expressed hope that the KL2017 official video will be an inspiration to fuel the fighting spirit among the people, especially Malaysians and young athletes to continue to strive tirelessly before savoring the sweet taste of victory.

The KL2017 official video can be viewed through its digital platforms that include “KL2017” phone app on iOS and Android, as well as via the official YouTube channel at “Kuala Lumpur 2017 Official Channel”.

The digital assets unveiled by the YB Brig Gen Khairy include the four main components of KL2017 social media assets – website, facebook, twitter, instagram – as well as the official KL2017 App, YouTube Channel and City Guide.

As the Games draw closer, MASOC has intensified its efforts in spreading the excitement of Games across the region through its full suite of digital assets. 

“The KL2017 website is our main digital asset with four main ?features – the registration platform, sales of tickets & merchandise, information and news. Our other social media assets such KL 2017 Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as well as the KL2017 app and YouTube Official channel will provide continuous flow of information and engagement with fans and the public,” he said.

As for YouTube platform, the KL2017 Official Channel, co-owned and powered by Platinum Sponsor TM, will feature 15 channels with two of them live channels for selected SEA Games events, and 13 other channels for video on demand.

“With all the digital assets in place, fans and members of the public only need to ensure they have sufficient internet data to get access and experience the Games from anywhere, whether they are in or outside Kuala Lumpur. More importantly, we hope that what we unveiled today goes some way towards ensuring the spirit of Rising Together, and ensure a great Games,” he said.

KL2017: ASET DIGITAL KL2017 JANJIKAN PENGALAMAN TERBAIK SEPANJANG TEMASYA

KEMERIAHAN penganjuran temasya Sukan SEA dan Sukan PARA Asean Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL2017) tambah bersemarak dengan pelancaran platform digital, iklan rasmi dan saluran rasmi YouTube KL2017 pada Khamis (13 Julai 2017) di Kuala  Lumpur.

Pelancaran aset digital dan media sosial KL2017 disempurnakan Menteri Belia dan Sukan, YB Brig. Jen Khairy Jamaluddin yang mendedahkan secara terperinci mengenai komponen lengkap digital KL2017 yang bakal memberikan pengalaman terbaru temasya kepada peminat dan orang ramai.

Bersempena majlis berkenaan, YB Brig Jen Khairy turut melancarkan saluran rasmi YouTube Kuala Lumpur 2017 dan filem iklan rasmi KL2017 arahan Quek Shio Chuan, seorang pengarah muda prolifik yang terkenal dengan pembikinan filem iklan dan filem pendek berkualiti di negara ini.

YB Brig Jen Khairy berharap filem iklan rasmi KL2017, yang membawa mesej semangat kesukanan, perpaduan, kebersamaan dan perjuangan yang tinggi, akan membakar semangat rakyat untuk membantu merealisasikan sasaran negara meraih kejuaraan keseluruhan pada temasya bulan depan. 

Filem rasmi KL2017 bertema “It Takes A Nation To Raise A Champion” atau “Bersama, Kita Lahirkan Juara” itu boleh ditonton menerusi aplikasi telefon pintar yang boleh dimuat turun di platform iOS dan Android dengan nama “KL2017” selain saluran rasmi YouTube KL2017 “Kuala Lumpur 2017 Official Channel”.

Berbaki 36 hari sebelum bermula temasya 2017, MASOC mempergiat usaha menyemarak kemeriahan dan membawa pengalaman menarik temasya kepada masyarakat bukan sahaja di dalam negara, tetapi juga merentasi sempadan ke seluruh rantau Asia Tenggara dan dunia menerusi himpunan aplikasi telefon pintar khusus.

Aplikasi  di platform Android dan iOS  yang menggunakan nama ‘KL2017’ akan memberikan pengalaman baru buat peminat daripada mendapatkan pelbagai maklumat, keputusan terkini, jadual pertandigan, berita hinggalah kepada menyaksikan siaran langsung acara.

“Masyarakat hari ini terutamanya golongan belia dan remaja rata-rata amat celik IT, mereka mahu mendapat infomasi segera, lebih mudah dan pantas untuk mengetahui perkembangan terkini atlet kegemaran, keputusan perlawanan atau jumlah kutipan pingat. Semua informasi kini boleh didapati di hujung jari sahaja.”

Menurut YB Brig Jen Khairy, terdapat empat komponen dalam aset digital KL2017 – laman web, twitter, instagram dan facebook.

Pelancaran tiga lagi komponen iaitu Aplikasi KL2017, Panduan Bandaraya dan saluran YouTube, melengkapkan gabungan aset digital KL2017.

Bagi saluran Youtube, Kuala Lumpur 2017 Official Channel, yang dimiliki bersama dan dikuasakan Penaja Platinum KL2017, TM, akan menyediakan 15 saluran – dua untuk siaran langsung terpilih dan 13 untuk video on demand. 

YB Brig Jen Khairy turut memperkenalkan ciri baru digital akan digunakan pada KL2017 iaitu Augmented Reality Rimau (ARR) yang belum pernah digunakan pada mana-mana temasya di rantau ini mahupun di Olimpik.

Menerusi teknologi ARR, peminat hanya perlu menggunakan telefon mereka mengimbas penanda khas di venue-venue untuk mendapatkan paparan imej 3D RIMAU, keputusan perlawanan secara langsung, taburan pingat secara masa sebenar.

“Dengan ciri-ciri aset digital KL2017, orang ramai hanya perlu pastikan mereka mempunyai data internet cukup sepanjang temasya sukan… apa yang didedahkan hari ini diharap dapatmenyemarak semangat kita untuk terus ‘Bangkit Bersama’ untuk menjadi juara,” kata YB Brig Jen Khairy.
