Injuries have crippled Felda United for their Malaysia Cup quarter-final home match against Terengganu at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jenka on Friday.

The two cross paths in the quarter-finals after Terengganu won Group A while Felda United finished runners-up in Group B.

Felda United coach B. Satianathan revealed that injuries have kayoed Brazilian hitman Thiago Augusto and local hot-shots Wan Zack Haikal and Hadin Azman – throwing a spanner in Felda’s preparations.

In their final group matches, Terengganu fell to a shock 2-3 defeat to Kuala Lumpur while Felda was hammered 6-1 by Melaka United in an away match.

“The injuries have made our job tough against a polished team like Terengganu,” said Satianathan.

Meanwhile, Terengganu coach Irfan Bakti, a former Felda United coach, is counting on his team’s “winning run” in away matches for a positive result in Jengka on Friday.

“We won all our away matches in the group stage in the Malaysia Cup and I hope we can keep the run in the knockout stages,” said Irfan, who will be counting on his skipper Kipre Tchetche and influential playmaker Lee Tuck for a positive result against Felda United. – BY RIZAL ABDULLAH
