The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has signed a 4-year media rights agreement with Bleacher Report Live (2019-2022) for the territories of Canada and the USA.

The deal with the USA is a renewal after a successful 2018 partnership with FIH whereby Bleacher Report Live broadcasted both World Cups and Champions Trophies, Men and Women.

For Canada, it is a new partnership after the platform launched in the North American country towards the end of last year.

Bleacher Report Live is operated by Turner Sports, a division of WarnerMedia. The platform, which is Turnerā€™s live sports streaming service, will be the primary destination for all FIH content, including the FIH Pro League, which kicked-off on 19 January.

FIH CEO Thierry Weil said: ā€œAfter a successful start of our cooperation last year, FIH is very pleased to enter into a 4-year partnership with Bleacher Report Live. This shall help us make our sport more visible in North America. This is an important step for the growth and development of hockey.ā€

ā€œWeā€™re thrilled to continue our partnership with FIH as we collaborate on creating a vibrant platform for its loyal and passionate fan base to watch the entirety of the season,ā€ said Hania Poole, GM of Bleacher Report Live.

ā€œWe look forward to creating a great experience for FIH fans throughout this new multi-year agreement.ā€national teams on their way to the Olympics 2020 and beyond.”
