With the return of the Red Bull Air Race just days away, all eyes in Budapest looked skyward on Wednesday as Hungarian aviation hero and Air Racing legend PĂŠter Besenyei led an unprecedented five-raceplane formation over the heart of the breathtaking city.

Flying with him and also taking their own passes past the landmark Parliament building were the pair of pilots tied in the points at the top of the World Championship standings, Matt Hall (AUS) and Michael Goulian (USA), as well as two exciting up-and-comers in the elite international field, Petr Kopfstein (CZE) and Ben Murphy (GBR).

Budapest is a classic on the calendar, and fans will be out in force when the raceplanes speed under the historic Chain Bridge and through the racetrack on the Danube for Qualifying on Saturday, 23 June, followed by Race Day on Sunday, 24 June 2018.
