For the first time, the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics (“Clinics”) will be held in Malaysia at Epsom College in Malaysia (ECiM).

Thus far, this venture has been endorsed by the ECM Libra Foundation, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad and Swift Group.

The partnership was announced at a press conference today with ex-Real Madrid defender
Roberto Carlos, Chairman of Governors of ECiM Tan Sri Dr Tony Fernandes, and several key
personnel from the Real Madrid Foundation and Real Madrid C.F.

“Epsom College in Malaysia is delighted to be in partnership with the Real Madrid Foundation. The College places great emphasis on the development of young people who are ambitious, keen to learn and committed to putting back into society more than they have taken out. Sport is an ideal medium for the development of these important personal values and we are thrilled that the Real Madrid Foundation will be running their clinics at our College,” said Martin George, Headmaster of Epsom College in Malaysia.

The residential one-week and two-week Clinics will take place from July 23 to August 5 and
aim to deliver world-class football training and teach values that help to mould participants
into outstanding individuals on and off the playing field. In 2016 alone, 35,000 players took
part in the Clinics in over 40 countries around the world.

The Clinics promote values that are inherent in football such as leadership, teamwork, respect
and humility.

These values contribute to the comprehensive development of a young player and aid in the physical, mental and emotional development of participants.

Boys and girls between the ages of 11 to 17 will be given the opportunity to train with professional Real
Madrid Foundation coaches who have, for over a decade, brought their word-class training
methodology to thousands of children around the world.

Real Madrid Foundation’s Global Head of Campus and Clinics Andrés Muntaner said, “The Real
Madrid Foundation is pleased to announce the partnership with Epsom College in Malaysia. The campus facilities are ideal for young footballers to not only train, but to learn the ins and outs of the game just like the legends of Real Madrid: Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos.”

Off the football pitch, participants will take part in leadership and character development programmes developed by Leaderonomics, a unique social enterprise dedicated to transforming the nation through leadership development.

ECM Libra Foundation, Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad and Swift Group have pledged to sponsor 180 students to attend the Clinics in the belief that the Clinics will create a conducive environment that will unite youths of various ethnicity and socioeconomic backgrounds.

After the press conference, youth players were invited for a sample training session with the
football legend himself.
